WonderWoman of Cleaning Supplies

So, it's day 2 of the New Year. How are all of you doing with the resolutions and goals? I'm not sure how I'm doing, but I am sure that if I don't stop taking a break from life soon and clean the house, Jose will murder my in my sleep.

So, tomorrow, he is off work. Isa starts back to school after winter break. And we are taking Teo to the sitter. I have every intention to turn the stereo up really loud and start at one corner of the house and clean as I move through it, creating a crazy pile in the middle of the house of things to find a home for. And then, finding them a home within our home of throwing them in the box of get-rid-ofs.

Sorting, organizing, getting my home back to a place where we can spot clean without deep cleaning. The holidays have taken their toll on my home. The excess baking goods need to make it to the stockpile room. The kitchen needs rearranged back to its livable status, including a ton of dishes need washed. Christmas decorations need put away.

In some sad way, I look forward to it. I've been really bothered by how disorderly things are. Toys everywhere. Clothes everywhere. Christmas stuff everywhere. It sounds silly, but I feel happier when things are where they belong. And I get some sort of satisfaction by having things in order.

Plus, Jose's been stripping the paint off all the trim in the dining room so that we can stain it, but the mess its making is awful. I spent a few hours today wiping down everything in the kitchen that was covered with sawdust. The mess to clean up would be a lot easier if 1) Jose would clear out the area where he is working and 2) if everything was in much better order. So, in effort to make sure the house can be worked on without me flipping out about the messyness, tomorrow will be a super cleaning day!

So, if I'm not online much tomorrow, it's because I'm being a cleaning superhero. Duh-dunn DUNNNNN!!!
