Why do kids refuse to sleep?!
We tuck our kids in at 8 PM. As of 10:30 PM, my son was still awake. I give up.
He is in a toddler bed, so he's learned that there is nothing holding him in it.
We were leaving his door cracked open only, but he learned that nothing was stopping him from leaving his room. So, we put the gate up at night. He knows how to knock it over.
Sometimes's he's perfectly fine...playing quietly. Others...oh. Man.
Tips for how to keep a kid in bed until he falls asleep?
