Still Got It.

So, mid-day today, I stopped to get gas in a less-than-safe part of town. It was daylight, so really there wasn't much to worry about. I grabbed my bank card and stuffed it in my pocket, locked my purse in my car, and started gas pumping.

More than anything, I was stoked by the price of $3.83/gallon. Especially since my last stop at the pump, I paid $3.99/gallon.

A few dollars later, I stopped the pump and hung it up. And, when I spun around to return to my driver's door, a man was approaching me from a car or two away. He saw that I saw him and said that he was coming over because he was going to pump my gas for me. I must have given him a look because he reaffirmed that he had wanted to pump my gas. I jibber-jabbered something about thanks, but being done, and in all that, he caught a glimpse of my bling bling diamond ring and asked, "Aw, damn, ma, you already married?"

Either way, I immediately called Jose to announce "I still got it." And then to say that it must have been my rear side that attracted him, because until I turned around, that's all he saw. So, if nothing else, my bum still has it. Haha!

Super Frustrated

...I just need to keep repeating..."it could be worse...it could be worse...it could be worse"...right?

This last week has flown by, and while much has gotten done, sometimes, I wonder if it was more like the whole one step forward and two steps back kinda thing. It's been hard. So hard that today, I was a total grump and made everyone in my house miserable until they allowed me to take a five hour nap. Yes, seriously. I was in such a foul mood that I didn't even eat lunch. I hate feeling like that.

I'm just reaching the point where I'm not winning mom of the year awards, wife of the year awards, homeowner of the year awards, etc. You get the point. Honestly, I may be closer to the homeowner award than the wife or mom ones.

I'm in a mood to complain...complain about my husband, about our house, about the rain, about the projects, and the kids, and finances, etc. So, I'm going to log off now. It's late anyways.

I promise that sometime this week I will try to post something not so gloomy...if we don't end up outside until 11 PM each night this week, that is. Uh...

Oh. My. Dear. We Were Living Under A Rock.

I have finally caved to the pressure and we got Netflix through the wii. Yes, seriously. I think we may be approaching some dangerous territory....although, this may be a better alternative to the 6,235,014 dvds we seem to own...

Maybe this is just in perfect time to purge through our dvd collection...and the rest of our vhs tapes...
