A Quick and Random Update: Our Life Is Never Boring.

It's Monday and I am going to take the next nine minutes (before I jump in the shower for a five minute shower and take five minutes to get dressed and ready for my day) to update briefly on my life....

We have been super duper busy. I have been thinking a lot (again, always) about some changes that need to be made. Not huge changes, but changes nonetheless, and I've very excited to see how they pan out. I have determined what I am going to "give up" for Lent and I am looking forward to it (although I know it is not going to be easy).

I have been painting. A lot. And I love it so much. I definately want to see this thrive. I finished a wine glass and a helmet last week and hope that by mid-week this week, the mural will be completed and with it's owner. I have also bought some things to tinker with and sample with that will probably be for sale super cheap.

Yesterday, my hubby celebrated his 28th year on this earth. We actually did most of our celebrating Saturday night, with an early dinner, a nice time at Starbucks watching a beautiful snow fall, a trip through Salvation Army full of giggles, a live show at the theatre of Rent, and a late night of games and Steak-n-Shake with some friends. It was amazing and has reminded me of why I love him so much.

He is also still sick. He was fearful last week of having MRSA, which was mostly paranoia (as he heard from his wife and the doctor), but he does have a cold and for a man who is never ever sick (seriously, maybe twice in our 10 years of being together), it's got him suffering. I giggle, because he always gives me crap when I don't feel well, so karma has hit. He doesn't want to whine because he knows that I feel no sympathy for his stuffy nose, headache, and sore throat.

We also had a scary morning on Saturday, but God was watching over our home while we were away and it was nothing more than a scare. However, as a precaution, Jose has stocked us up with mase and I now carry a beautiful knife with me at all times (which I have learned rather quickly how to use). We don't believe in having guns in our home with small children, but do know that the neighbors who are watching our home are strong advocates of shooting things and have a home full of firearms.

I feel good about life, and I am renewed. God continues to work in me and for that, I am grateful.

Do you ever post pics of your painting? Do you sell things on Etsy? Would love to take a peek if it's online somewhere.

I do have pics posted on my "business" site:

www.heartworkspainting.blogspot.com

and from there is a link to a facebook page with albums of my paintings.

I don't sell from etsy, but do take orders. Right now, it's just through the facebook page/blog/wordofmouth. Feel free to contact me by email carlasue476@hotmail.com if you are interested in ordering something, anything...
